Japanese Elementary Kanji Tests

This post has been lost in the social feed so I am creating a new thread.

Here are a bunch of links to tests for different grades in Japan.
Even if you are at an intermediate level I bet working through the sheets you will find some new words.
For those of you at the advanced level of your Japanese studies and want a challenge I also posted worksheets for 4 Kanji combinations at the bottom. Have Fun and learn something new!!

1年生:They used to have an answer sheet you could download but I keep getting a 404.

For those of you that want to learn more about culture there are sets of 4 Kanji that make up lots of expressions and are very difficult to remember. I have only run into a few living here in Japan but Japanese people are impressed if you understand them. Here are some of those worksheets. For this first sheet there is the 4 kanji along with how to read it. You are supposed to put the meaning of the expression in the lower box. I would recommend maybe having two of these sheets and writing the meaning in your native tongue first and then translating that into Japanese.

The rest of these sheets use those 200 expressions.

I hope people decide to use these to help them study and even learn new words. My wife, a Japanese Elementary school teacher, uses these sheets along with books supplied by the schools.

@shirokitsune, For the 1年生 answer sheets, rather than going on the version with 16 questions per page (portrait), if you instead go on the version with 8 questions per page (landscape) then the answer sheets for the exact same questions can be found on that page:

    So...
    worksheet 問題 0116001 ① to ⑧ = answer sheet 問題 0108001 ① to ⑧
    worksheet 問題 0116001 ⑦ to ⑯ = answer sheet 問題 0108002 ① to ⑧
(Less complicated than the way I've described it sounds.) ^^

Thank you shirokitsune, I will take another look. I've been getting stuck on Kanji level five, and it feels like I'll never get out of it. I guess the more mistakes you make, the more you will remember later? I hope.

I agree. My friends used to give these printouts to me to try, and I found them really really difficult, and they just laughed at all my mistakes, so I gave up. Maybe later...

Do you have an english answer sheet aswell, with the meaning of the sentences?
They are really great exercises. You get how you're supposed to read the kanji, but when I finished a few, I realized I wasn't certain what it would be in english.
    Example: ひゃくえんだまがごまい = 百円玉が五まい
Even though I know some of the kanjis meanings are like ''100, yen, sphere, 5'', I'm still not sure about the overall meaning, though I guess it's something like ''Five 100-yen coins''.

I guess it could be because it's designed for Japanese kids, and not foreigners :P
