Sento, a japanese public bath room
Public baths are public facilities for bathing. Public baths are deep in history and have a strong connection with Buddhism. The Edo period was a mixed bath, and in the early 19th century there were over 600 public baths throughout Edo. There are many old baths with an old retro atmosphere even in Tokyo today. I actually went there, but the large bath was fresh and pleasant. I would recommend visiting by all means.
