First i got to say ありがとう, because this site is truly amazing。
On the other hand i have a small suggestion。As a total newbie in Japanese (know just few words from anime :)i began to learn Hiragana and Katakana it went pretty well so i decided to take first Kanji lesson and there i got a little confused, because i saw し with weird diacritic mark i never seen before so i had to go into grammar lesson and find out that there are these "muddy" alphabets。Maybe it would be cool if you add those into Hiragana and Katakana lessons？

That is two of the current visions of JCJP site, to provide a Japanese Learning Tool, and to build a Online Japanese Learning Community.
It has been great, there are many users who have participated in the community. However there are still high percentage of users who are confused in using this and never participate to ask questions, etc.
Maybe your suggestion is can be a good tool for easy and simple communications (Status message)
Or maybe you can also be the catalyst of bringing JCJP users together to participate in the community.

I just wanted to point out this little thing, it's no big deal really. Those blue numbers which tell you how many Kanjis you have to guess right to complete the test, there are a bunch of them that are wrong, I guess you must have added more and forgot to update it.

For that number, actually it does not mean the number of kanji combination in the quiz. It meant the number of 'single' kanji characters you will learn.

Hi! I was preparing the notes from the Wiktionary link Gituska gave us and I see you have posted some of them.
Sorry for being slow, but I had already uploaded 3 categories as private notes. As you have already posted "body" and "people" by yourself, I've deleted my own versions.
I just believe that this is a brainless work, and you have better things to do, so please, leave these mechanic things to me.
By the way, I still want to give credit to Stoner & Gituska for their notes suggestions. If you don't want to change the notes owner, please, make an explanation field where we can put miscellaneous info about the note contents. When you have time, that is.

I saw this pictures, and it question about how you spell Gundam on Japanese (with katakana).... um,.... personally I don't think Gundam is on vocabulary, and not every people here knows about it.

A little cosmetic bug. Try this:
Log out.
Go to Lessons.
Vocabulary or Kanji. (For example Kanji)
Any level>1. (For example, level 2)
Any chapter. (For example, chapter 11)
You get a yellow box info that tells you that the level is not enough, blah, blah.
Click Login.
The Facebook button is gone. In its place, there's a plain text saying "Login/Register".
I found the bug in FireFox, and I've refreshed, deleted temporary files/cache/cookies/site preferences/etc, and resetted the whole PC. It still happens.
More info (very strange):
It NEVER happens in IE & Chrome.
It ALWAYS happens in FF & Opera, no matter what I do.
Even more strange info:
It happens SOMETIMES in Safari.
If I keep refreshing, the button eventually appears, and after that, it never fails again. If I close Safari, the bug appears again, but not always.
Even weirder:
A couple of times, when the button didn't show, I kept the login box open for ~20 seconds, and the button finally appeared.
After closing Safari and reopening it, all begins again. Sometimes there's a button, sometimes not.
I did try the waiting trick many times, but it only worked two times. I've waited several minutes to no avail.
In all these experiments, I always wait for the page to load completely before clicking on login.
In any other circumstance (any other page), the button is always there, under all browsers.
I hope that can help you to understand the problem, because I don't understand it. Any idea?

you can still connect with your facebook from your statistics page.
on the top right of your statistics page, you can find edit profile. in the edit profile page, you can click the connect to connect with your facebook account.
I don't know if it's only a fluke, or maybe at this time there aren't many users online, but the loading times are now halved for me.

Ya, it feels so much faster for me too, worker MPM is amazing.
I also did some optimization in compressing some static files before it is sent to the client-side. Do you notice smaller file size loaded to your browser?

Somehow, today is not as fast as yesterday. The Rank page loads now in 26-28 secs (yesterday were 20-22 secs). The main culprit is the waiting time. Anyway, it's much better than the previous 40 secs.
About the size, I don't know...
The only size I remember is the main page's one. It was 2.7MB, and now it's 2.7MB. Pretty much the same. Probably the main page is not good for that matter.

Practice is fast, but it was fast before, so I guess it's also the same (2~3 secs).
I don't know why you feel it faster. Maybe it's due to the new PHP.
I think it's not worth it if it prevents you using the Worker MPM.
I've noticed one strange thing (I don't know if this was happening before, or if I'm understanding it wrong): Many .png and .jpg files (not all of them, and not always the same!) show incredibly high resolving times (sometimes more than 12 seconds). It seems to happen only for graphic files. It doesn't make sense to me. Perhaps it's something related to the new compressed files you were talking about. Perhaps it's a DNS problem.
Have you seen the "Audits" in the "Developer Tools" of Chrome browser?
It performs traffic and performance audits and gives you many advices. It seems you can optimize many things (according to Chrome).

Hi beeant, I think I found a bug. Whenever I encounter the item toothache in practice mode and both correct answers are available on the list 歯が痛い and 歯痛 it will be a wrong answer no matter what I choose. It happened happened twice already and I was able to try both answers.
