The only downside to this is when it gives me words I haven't gone over in practice or attendance. I think that if I'm at lesson 36 I should only review lesson 1-36 ...unless I'm missing some sort of setting option.

- Thank you for your feedback.
That make sense but if we think that we haven't done any lesson the practice will be empty, or if a user have only done 1 lesson, the practice will only give you questions from 1 lesson. This can work too. We can take a vote on this.January 25, 2022 at 10:40am - If the user did not complete at least one Lesson 1 quiz (for either Kanji or Vocabulary) for a certain level, the Practice Area should have a notice to complete at least one lesson quiz first. If the user did complete it, then only the completed Lessons kanji and/or vocabulary should appear. Adding a locked Lesson kanji and/or vocabulary will be confusing. Then again,, I don't mind either way.January 26, 2022 at 3:56am
- I come from the perspective: you can’t practice what you haven’t learned. Otherwise I would be making wrong guesses that cut into learning time. I might even remember the wrong answer instead. The way I see it, if the system gave vocab/kanji from beginning lessons I’ve gone through and keeps bringing them up from even if I’m now at, for example, lesson 40, I’m now testing to see if I’ve retained those vocals/kanji after some time.
But I’m only voicing my obstacle with it. I’ll still use it to supplement my learning for as long as I think fits. I might just have to refresh every time I get a new word I haven’t learned. That only hurts the combo number I think. As long as I have more time retaining vocabulary, that’s all I want.January 27, 2022 at 2:31am - +1 for 「Practice Area should have a notice to complete at least one lesson quiz first」 and 「you can’t practice what you haven’t learned」
January 31, 2022 at 10:49am - Thank you for the +1. Ok, I think I have to consider this. How about changing the default practice settings to only the chapters that have been completed?February 1, 2022 at 4:39pm
- yeah that'll be great.
the settings to uncheck levels is also hidden on mobile if you have not completed that level (not sure about browser).
defaulting to only completed chapters being selected will solve that problem too.February 1, 2022 at 5:11pm - Ok great. thank you! I will work on that after finishing the app release for iOS.February 1, 2022 at 5:17pm
