Noticed some issues today at the hiragana/katakana lessons (CodeIgniter issues). It had problems connecting to various files, and I think it lost connection to the database at some point as well.
Also, lastly, what is the reason the passwords are stored in clear text in the database instead of MD5 hashes with salt?

I'm sorry about the hiragana/katakana lesson issue.
Was there any error code shown?
Actually the hiragana/katakana page is not optimized yet, it gives so much error because it needs to load a lot of sound files. it will cause your comp to run slow too.
About the problem, I had to restart the server couple of times today.
