    Yeah hiragana and katakana are most important. Then try and learn some vocab and grammar. Worry about kanji later when you have basic sentences down :).

    I personally think that learning kanji first makes learning the vocabulary later on much, easier, since by then you know some readings and meanings of kanji so the words stick more easily.

    You won't be able to work on this website if you don't learn Hiragana and Katakana x) Try learning them first, they're very easy.

    Hiragana and katakana first, they're heaps easy.

    hiragana and katakana first, because these two are like the alphabet of Japanese :) Then you can pick either vocab or kanji, depending on how you learn a language.

    If you pick up words easily then vocab should be your priority, the kanji should be easy to remember when you're differentiating some things. If you're good at memorizing pictures and details then I guess kanji? ^^;
