i should have been more specific, sorry. i meant the aiming and enabling particles に and で. i can figure them out when reading but speaking is a tad bit harder, sometimes i mix them up.

    Well in that case, に is used with verbs such as いる, ある, and 住む to indicate a location where the object is, whereas で is used with action verbs to indicate where the action is taking place. However, で is not just a location particle... it can also literally mean "by means of". So when I say 「電車で東京に行った。」, I am saying "I went to Tokyo by means of the train."

    so in your train example i understand で now but, im still not clear on に. i get the to be verbs. what im not clear on is if に always comes after the noun or subject and before the verb like かく or いく. for instance could i say ...そこ に いくですか?(im using a computer with out ime sry).
