i don't agree that 「こんにちは」is better. many people use 「こんにちわ」online. and an even more colloquial version i've heard (but not seen written down often, if at all) is 「こんちわ」, or even just 「っちわ」。^^

My bad..It is not better, it is correct.　は is a topic marker here, it is pronounced as "wa".　こんにちは＝今日は　but わ doesn't make sense

yes, the correct spelling is 「こんにちは」, but many native speakers use slang in daily speaking, and writing. ^^
