    Yotsubato is a good one since the manga is realistic, but is about a young child (who uses more simple Japanese) who lives with her father, a half foreigner, half Japanese translator.

    Apparently you can get the coloured Dragon Ball manga books (it looks cool) for pretty cheap, with relatively simple kanji and a familiar story for many. Well, best to just send you to the site I saw it on. He's done a few manga posts on his site, ranging in difficulties. I advise checking it out.
