  「こんばんわ」は正しくない。
  は is pronounced as "wa" here. It is used because こんばんは literally means "this evening," so the は is used as a topic marker.

  I would like to clarify this. こんばんは is absolutely the correct way to write good evening, but こんばんわ isn't necessarily wrong in informal conversations. I've seen both guys and girls use こんばんわ or こんばんゎ.
