- You probably should do all at the same time. But I learned Hiragana first. They are easier ^^

- Start with hiragana. When you learn all the hiragana, you'll think katakana is easy! :p
Use Anki to memorize and use a software that has a quiz about hiragana or something that has a timer (we think better and faster in danger situations).
If you have a smartphone, download JA Sensei (try to answer the tests as fast as you can). In the beginning, you may recognize the hiragana/katakana slowly, but if you try to do these tests often, you'll improve quickly ( this happened to me)!Believe me, give all of you to master the hiragana, because hiragana is in everywhere. がんばって!August 14, 2014 at 9:31am - I´ve actually already known how to read Hiragana for a while now, so I just got right into it. I would recommend to you to learn Hiragana and Katakana first but try to get into the Kanji as well. Makes it easier. I can´t read Katakana at all which makes words like ball pen really difficult for me. But I know some Kanji. Probably about 10 or so.August 14, 2014 at 9:32am
- I see thank you so much.. You really helped me a lot. ^-^August 14, 2014 at 9:40am
- Spend more time learning katakana because you won't get as much practice as you would with hiragana. Plus a bunch of katakana are also kanji. Both are equally as important though it's just harder to learn katakana because there's less of it.August 14, 2014 at 9:42am
