I'm completely new to Japanese so can someone please tell me what the period in わ.ける means? What does that period mean in any word? Oh and also, what does the minus sign before this -どき mean?

I have never seen that period in any Japanese writing. That . is the English version period. This 。is the Japanese style period.

    That's weird because on the kunyomi reading for this word 分 it shows this わ.ける ・ わ.け ・ わ.かれる ・ わ.かる ・ わ.かつ sooo...I'm really confused...

I've seen this period repeatedly in dictionary entries. I think it indicates the kanji reading (the hiragana before the .) and the possible verb ending (behind the .)
    So in this case 分(=わ).ける
Maybe it also serves to indicate the difference between kanji that are read as わ.ける and わけ.る (I don't know if such a kanji exists, but just as example). But that is just a guess based on my observations.

Not sure about the -どき. Might just indicate that -どき is attached to something...Like 二回 (に + -かい)? But again, just a guess....

I hope someone else can help you better!

Thanks! This helped a bit! I'll just leave it for now and maybe I'll figure it out later xD

Haha no problem XD But I am pretty sure that the part behind the . indicates various verb endings... Like you suggested with 分る which can also be read as 分り、分ける、etc.
Same kanji but different ending. Would make sense at least :D
But let's see what the others have to say... :D

That's right. The part after the dot is called okurigana (送り仮名). The part before is the kanji reading. That is used basically for verbs and adjectives (noticed how they always end with hiragana? - that's okurigana).
