I just started from scratch a few days ago. I have all the Hiragana memorized and some Katakana.
A website that really helped that you might want to check out is

It was very helpful to me and try to watch Rachel & Jun on Youtube if you need some inspiration. They have a video all about learning Japanese online and for free.
