It's cool dude. I learned it in a few days. Just write all of them at once instead of 5 a day it's easy. Once you learn the stroke order and remember them, learn the pronounciation. It's how I shortened the time on learning it. Katakana will be easier.
Practice writing them and say the syllable sound while you do it. I don't know why, but that worked for me.
I learned Hiragana in about ~ 2 days. The best way to learn Hiragana (In my opinion) is to study each row once, then once you have mastered that row study another 5 and add them together to make 10 you know... Then continue the process. Good luck! :)
