Do you guys have any tips for keeping new words in your heads? Whenever I learn a new word by repeating it out loud it almost always sticks but whenever I repeatedly read or mentally say a new word I always forget it within a minute. I can't always scream out words especially if I'm studying in public or something.

You should try this method, when you encounter a word you don't know (and you are using a pc/table):
- Make a text document- Inside this text document paste the dictionary definitions of these new words
- Download and install Anki (http://ankisrs.net/)
- Make a new set of flashcards with these new words
You should learn them faster this way.
