Kanji can have several different pronunciations. ^^May 2, 2015 at 4:17am - Do you have any tips for remembering all of Katakana and Hiragana? I'm using the program Anki with the sets right now and I'm not going to continue with the lessons and vocab until I am finished. Also what are the questions in chapter 1 level 1 lesson 2 for kanji asking, I know which symbol is which number, but I don't know what the answers mean.May 2, 2015 at 4:25am
- http://realkana.com/hiragana/
in this site you can mark the hiragana or katakana who you have to practice, you will have to do this alot of times. xD
You can do the AIUEO of Hiragana and Katakana in the same time then KA KE KI KO KU and so on.May 2, 2015 at 4:41am - 私は学生です。わたし は がくせい です。I am a student. When a teacher is talking about their student, they refer to their student as, 『生徒』, pronounced, 『せいと』, as in, "I am tutoring my student (or pupil)." If you want to say your are a Japanese language student, that would be, 私は日本語の学生です。わたし は にほんご の がくせい です。Hope that helps! :3
May 2, 2015 at 3:14pm - The easiest way is just, "学生でづ。". Because it can easily translate as I am student.May 4, 2015 at 6:57am
- But Mike pretty much have you covered.May 4, 2015 at 6:59am
- Yazamoto is correct in context, but instead of でづ (dedzu), it would be spelled です (desu)。
What Yazamoto is trying to example here is that in the Japanese language, "I", or more precisely anything that precedes the は particle (known as a topic), is implied and therefore withheld when you are talking about yourself, and/or if the topic is already introduced into the conversation. The general idea is an efficient use of time by reduction of repetition in conversation.
"Say more with less." ^_^
