I need help!

Everytime I learn a new word or kanji, it never sticks. I would answer them correctly in multiple-choice questions but I would only remember them for that moment. I only remember a few words.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

just repeat it over and over until it's ingrained in your memory. Then restudy it the next day and the next day and keep reviewing it.

'Study' elsewhere too. Read book, use Memrise, watch anime/dorama, and you will hear/see the word you learnt pop up all over the place.
    And yes, repeat repeat repeat!

Im native speaker spanish, they gave you a good advice, if you repeat the same lessons once and other times, it wil be added in your memory... I do this to learn english and french, and the next is japanese, good luck!.

    Thank you! I'll try it.

What I use to do, is that I write the kanji down a few times. Sometimes I test myself by writing down the English (or in my case, Swedish) words for the kanji I'm currently reviewing. Randomly throughout the day I will try to write the kanji of each word on the list. Though I fail a lot the first tries, it gets easier with practice!

Memrise is much better. This website is much better suited to reviewing what you've picked up for me than it is actual learning.

I write down english words to practice for myself, i mull over use that way to improve my kanji. Also memrise is good to practice and remember words.

download Anki on your PC or smartphone, then download the RTK6 Heisig's kanji vocabulary.
That is a flashcard deck with a story for almost every kanji, and with those story's you can learn 20 kanji a day easily ( it will take about an hour a day).

Here are the links to download anki and the deck:

If you deside to download the deck, and need help or have any questions regarding the use of anki, you can message me. I used anki for several months and know a thing or two about it.
