Juuzou, I don't know if this will make any sense but for memorizing and what not I find it helps me if I just enjoy the repetition and rhythm or reading the words over and over again. Kinda like getting in a trance or like if I was autistic. Then after a bit of that I quiz myself and try recalling the meanings and pronouciations and after that I do the trance thing again (even with the words I get right) and then quiz myself again. I guess this is all to say it helps to enjoy the process itself.
As my sister says, "you have to be keen or your gonna lose interest".
check lessons for kanji and words. once you know the lesson well enough check out practice for some quick quizzes.
