  こんばんはリジーさん！はじめまして！When it is written out, the correct way to write Konbanwa (or konnichiwa) Is: こんばんは、Or　こんいちは。　This is because the "wa" is actually the particle は。Confusing, yes, I know. But that's just the way it is!
