    Onyomi: Reading taken from China
    Kunyomi: Reading developed by Japan
    Kanji + Kana Kunyomi Reading
    Kanji + Kanji Onyomi Reading
    Kanji alone Kunyomi.

Not sure, so if anybode has corrections, please.

basically what our friend above me said. Kunyomi is the way you read a kanji when it is by itself, like 正しい is read ただしい or 人 is ひと.
When the kanjis appears in words composed with more than one kanji, it generally is used the onyomi reading, be careful that it`s not always the case.
Like 正直 = しょうじき and 人間 = にんげん.
    Hope it wasn`t too confusing.
