  To the left there is something called "Lessons". When you're there, there are vocabulary and kanji lessons/tests in the middle, and Hiragana and Katakana lessons/tests to the right.
  That's a good start. Then you can do "Practice" to the left, or look in the "To Do" section to the left. I usually do the "Attendance" thing.

  I'm trying to press the menu bar button but it keeps showing up as a text input point :/

  That's weird. What internet browser do you use? I'm using Chrome and have no issues. Try another browser, or restart your computer... maybe it's something temporary weird.
