I use Tae Kim's Guide to Grammar and while it's useful, sometimes it doesn't have enough examples for me to understand. This part the is the potential form of verbs. Can someone give me more examples of these kind of sentences?

1. 冬に入って、コートを着ている人が増えていきます。
Entering winter, people wearing coat will increase (toward the future).
2. 一生懸命、頑張っていく!
Will try my hardest (toward the future) with all my might!
3. 色々な人と付き合ってきたけど、いい人はまだ見つからない。
Went out (up to the present) with various types of people but a good person hasn't been found yet.
4. 日本語をずっと前から勉強してきて、結局はやめた。
Studied Japanese from way back before and eventually quit.

I can't explain it myself, but maybe watching these videos will help you get a good handle on it. I find, watching various people explain the same thing helps me understand.

    1. 冬に入って、コートを着ている人が増えていきます。
    ー>冬に入って、コートを着る人が増えていきます。is natural.
    or ----------------------増えます。

    2. 一生懸命、頑張っていく!
     ー>ーーーーーいくよ! this is ok.
     ー>ーーーーーいきます! this is better.
    ー>ーーーーー頑張ります! is natural.
