Hey guys! New here, but just had a quick question. How long did it take you practicing for the language to start clicking, if that makes sense? I am still in the early stages and have learned a bit, but am still waiting for it to just "click". Thank you!

It started to "click" for me a few months in. I went from being completely confused by simple things to being able to do them without thinking. You can do it!!

Thank you very much, it helps to hear that! :)

for me it all just sort of absorbs. The more that I use it the more I understand. Like climbing an infinitely tall mountain with several gentle plateaus rather than reaching a single overarching peak of realization.

For me, I am just trying to memorize the words and alphabet. I know quite a few words (only been doing this for a few weeks constantly, and for a few months before that off and on.) I am just waiting for the words to feel more natural, so I don't have to think slowly about "Mizu" being water and I will just hear the word and know it is water. Haha. Thank you for the feedback though!

I've study abroad and went to school there for a year and it still doesn't completely make sense (つД`)ノ It is just a language to developed over time~~~ individually the words are fine but putting them in a sentence is taking it's time ( ̄◇ ̄;) がんばる、あなたもがんばったね!

In terms of language, I've always learned them if I commit myself a few months (at the very least 6-8 months) in school and out.
