Does anybody have any tips for memorizing japanese characters better? Ive been studying japanese for a few months now, but I always keep forgetting letters! ;-;

Well... I have some estrategy, I hope it help you: Write them in a small piece of paper, like a template, that you could take anywhere. Try to remenber, if you can't, check the paper. :) I use this with Kanji, and it works! good look! ^3^- And, don't forget to write them often :)

I used to know katakana almost perfectly, but lately I forgot some of the characters, due to them being quite similar to each other. This was because I did not write them down at all for the past few months. It is a good idea to write them once in a while =]- I know the hiragana and some katakana very well, but I keep forgetting the katakana too :)
i learnt both hiragana and katakana through relating the characters to images that can be again related to the sound. eg. お can be looked at as a golf green so you say "on the green" or with ふ it looks like mount fuji so u remember with "fuji". this really helped me and i hope it can help anyone else, im sure u can find them online somewhere
