Is there any "readings" that are simpler to read and understand without the complextity like a children book? >.<

"100万回生きたねこ" is something you could try. The language is kept very simple, and the sentences are short. You don't need to know any kanji to read it. It's also a famous story, so I'm sure you can find English translations online, should you need to. All in all, it might seem nice and sweet, but trust me, the book is ruthless. If you let your guard down, it will prey on you and three-finger death punch you right in the feelings. I think I read it 3 times, and it gets me every time.
