learn the characters first. its easy do 2 rows of hiragana first then ad 2 more etc., Katakana is easy too write but its used like cursive in english but i do notice its randomly used for nouns. I took japanese in high school years ago i forgot most of the characters so i got a chart online and saved it to my comp. BUT the tests from the start helped me reflect and knowing what little i remember i could read it as a refresher occasionally looking at the chart. I like this sight because learning japanese is easier if you know random words and sentence structure you should learn as you study with other sources it really helps and i can confidently tell you you can speak broken japanese fast. Flash cards in person is better for me i notice on the computer flash cards i forget or am less concentrated for some reason.- Celtcetra desu. Anata wa Nihon o hon benkyou o shimasu ka.
