New here! I've always just studied Japanese for fun, and because I love the language, but I want to start actually learning it properly as I've never gotten very far. Know a decent amount of kanji and words, so I can read some, but I really struggle when it comes to putting sentences together myself. Looking forward to learning more and maybe getting the chance to learn how to actually write out my own sentences. Nice to meet you all!

Welcome! My tip: Install HelloTalk on your smart phone and find a language partner. You will learn to put together sentences when talking/writing to a real person.
@claudiano haha, I'm living in the dark ages and don't have a smart phone, but thank you! I have asked around on some other sites I'm on to see if anyone else is learning so I can talk with them though, and maybe I'll be able to learn more here in time, I'll keep trying!- No smart phone? Okay... but at least you have internet access. :-)
Another way is to get an account on http://lang-8.com and then write something on this page. Any maybe find yourself a language partner, too.

- and yeah lang-8 is great i made a profile there yesterday because i needed somewhere to force myself to practice writing :P i dont have a lot to write about but i will try to make a blog entry about whatever i want at least weekly- it's good practice!
- @seurong yeah it looks good. It will be a good place to force myself to figure out how to write it in Japanese. I have a good amount I can babble about as practice, with my art and projects, and it might help me learn vocabulary that pertains to my areas of interest!
I like that I can help others learn English too!
