hello i am new here. and wondering where do i start i know with hirigana and katakana i should start. but the beginners test just asks you questions straight. so i assuming i just study the chart on my won ways and progress from there. or is there a verbal teaching?

I'm pretty sure this website is really only meant for learning kanji. I think you should study the hiragana and katakana chart to learn them first. A good way to study those (in my opinion) is using Quizlet. You can use flash cards, play games that help you learn the kana, and take a test to see how much you have mastered. I hope this will help!!!- Btw I'm new here too :)
