Hi, can kanji and vocab practice questions be separate. Cause when I'm learning I learn how to read then I learn the vocab.

Since Kanji has multiple meanings/pronunciations it seems too overwhelming for a beginner like me. I've also read that kanji is better to learn when we know the kanji radicals and if we learn using mnemonics instead of using traditional memorizing.

If you're talking about Practice, then there is a button at the top right called Settings where you can select the Question Mode you want. You can also select whether you want kanji and/or hiragana to appear.

I'd recommend you stick to learning vocabulary first. Take notice of how the kanji look and try to memorise the "shape" of the word. This is only one method of learning vocabulary, there are many others that you might want to look into, so feel free to research and try them all to see what works for you best.

What I recommend doing is anytime you encounter a word on this site that you think you wouldn't comprehend when you hear it in a conversation or you think you wouldn't be able to use it in a sentence when you are trying to speak is to click on the example sentences, read through some of them, pick out a couple that look useful to you, write them down, and review the list at the end of the day.

That's what I started doing recently.
