I need help memorizing the words and kanji I tried connecting them with symbols or pictures but I keep forgetting them any suggestions?

keep looking at them on this site. you've gotta just brute force memorize at least a few and then you can make mnemonics if you really need to.
e.g. 立stand 日sun 音sound. if you stand on the sun you would probably be screaming but i don't know if the laws of physics would allow you to make a sound.
