My second language is Japanese and my third is Korean. Just over a year ago when I decided to take up Korean, I was considerably proficient in Japanese. However, since taking up Korean I feel like my proficiency in Japanese has been gradually dropping and I've been in a slump for quite a long time despite my efforts to keep learning vocabulary and such.

Has anyone experienced this even if it's a language other than Japanese? I would really appreciate any ideas or advice of how to get out of this slump.
Thanks in advance :)

Yea I have experienced this before. I quit wasting my time with the other languages and only focus on the glorious master language now, Nippongo.

language is a skill that can diminish overtime without usage.. especially if you didnt master the language to begin with...

so if you dont want your japanese slipping, watch anime and read manga from time to time..
