No, it is not! :)- Prove it. Your profile says you haven't done anything yet. Prove it by trying your hardest at learning Japanese.
I recommend you to start with this grammar guide:

It will give you a good enough grammar level to be able to understand how sentences work. You can finish it in two weeks if you go at it at a pace of 4-5 lessons a day.
Be sure to learn hiragana and katakana, but don't get stuck on it if it takes you longer than a day. Just keep practicing it while going through the lessons.
Meanwhile, you can slowly move through the lessons of this site as well. This would give you the minimum amount of vocabulary necessary to start practicing writing.
There are a lot of ways one can learn Japanese but this is a good enough start. If it doesn't work for you then feel free to ask for help here. Either I or someone else will surely reply. 
Get, and have someone show u how to use Anki for speaking and listening. Is free and destroy's Rosetta stone brah.
