Online global health programs

"CFHI has been selected as a finalist for the 2022 GoAbroad Innovation Awards in the Innovative New Program - Study Abroad category. This nomination recognizes the CFHI Virtual Global Health Elective which was launched in 2021 in response to restrictions on international travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Virtual Elective is a unique, innovative program that provides advanced clinical students with the opportunity to build Global Health competencies through seminars and roundtables featuring an expert global leadership faculty. Topics covered include low-resource and interdisciplinary clinical reasoning, global health ethics, planetary health, case study work, and much more. In addition, participants enjoy the truly global nature of the virtual space— students in the Virtual Elective have come from 20 different countries so far.
