Age of Mythology brought a refreshing angle to the RTS genre in 2002. The team behind the wildly popular Age of Empires decided to spin off their impressive "nation-building" real-time strategy franchise and entered a world of deities and mythological creatures. Age of Mythology had a heavy focus on legends from Norse, Egyptian, and Greek folklore, rather than historically accurate events and battles. The end result saw a very successful title that received platinum status and became an instant cult classic throughout the RTS fanbase.

It even received an expansion in 2003 with The Titans and was so beloved that it managed to make its way to the Steam platform in 2014 with the Extended Edition. It once again rose in relevant popularity, so much so that it received another expansion in 2016 with Tale of the Dragon. Thanks to its inclusion on Steam, it's much easier for current gamers to get their hands on the entertaining release and the title manages to hold up exceedingly well, even in the modern age.

Age Of Mythology Base
The following codes will work as long as you have the base version of Age of Mythology and can be used throughout each of the expansions as well. To enter any of these cheat codes you'll need to hit the Enter key while in a game and then type one of the following codes into the text box before hitting Enter a second time to activate it. It's important to note that these codes must be entered in ALL CAPS to work correctly.
Hidden taunt:
When playing a LAN or online game press enter and type 999 which does the theme music but with extra sounds like monkeys singing, ect. Very funny, but only if you are the one doing it.

Control animals
In single-player random map mode, use the code "Set Ascendant," which shows you all animals on the map. This will cause the lions, deer or crocodiles to fall under your control. It doesn't work for chickens, goats, or pigs.
