Renewable Energy Research
English Public
According to an analysis by SDKI, the renewable energy market recorded revenues of USD 1.1 trillion in 2022. It is further projected to grow at a CAGR of around 12.37% during the forecast period of 2023-2035 to reach USD 4.5 trillion by 2035. The renewable energy market is expected to witness tremendous growth due to the multiple advantages it offers, such as
1. renewable energy can combat climate change as it does not directly emit greenhouse gases Renewable energy can combat climate change because it does not directly emit greenhouse gases. But even these are negligible.
2. reducing pollution prevents many health problems. Wind, solar and hydropower systems do not produce air pollution or emissions. Geothermal and biomass energy systems produce some emissions, but not as much as those produced by non-renewable energy sources.
3. they are reliable sources of power. Renewable energy prices tend to become more reasonable over time due to much lower operating costs.
