Dear all,
I want to install a PV roof but I don't really like the look of the PV panels, it destroys the integrity of my roof, I have been advised to use PV tiles, do you have any experience with them? Can you give me some advice?

Best regards.
Hardy

Hello , Hardy

If you don't like photovoltaic panels then I suggest you install photovoltaic tiles on your roof. PV panels have only one advantage over PV tiles - the amount of electricity generated. But if you're just using electricity for your home, PV tiles will generate enough power.

First of all, about the appearance, as you mentioned. PV tiles are essentially a type of roofing tile, with just the extra addition of power generation, and they can blend in perfectly with your roof, giving you a pleasant appearance experience.

Secondly, about the cost, although the unit price of PV tiles is much more expensive, it only requires one construction and installation, while PV panels require two (roof tile installation + PV panel installation), so if you calculate, the cost is almost the same, and PV tiles save some trouble.

Furthermore, as you know, PV panels require regular maintenance and can cause damage to the panels and even to your roof in case of bad weather, such as high winds, heavy rains and snowstorms. PV shingles, which are part of your roof, have the ability to cope with extreme weather conditions, so you don't have to worry about these problems at all.

Finally, as a PV product, it can also help you get various government incentives and tax credits, which can help reduce the initial cost of installation.

So I do recommend you to try photovoltaic tiles, and you can also visit the website of this specialized supplier www.sgbsolar.com for more help.

Sincerely.
