Really sorry for this problem. I believe that this problem is caused by internet connectivity or the server going down for a few seconds due to high load.
The combo should not be reset or EXP should not be affected if you did not give the wrong answer.
I will make a proper error message if there are connectivity issue and ask the user to refresh the site.
Again, really sorry for this problem.- thank you for replying ^~^ also, i picked the right answer, but it marked it as wrong, so i panicked and picked all of them. and it was definitely caused by weak connection, as i was at school when this happened.
@littleghoul, I don't think you lose either EXP or combo even if you pick wrong answers after the correct one didn't work. ^^
If you look above the question in your screenshot, it says this:
"Answer wrong 6 EXP"
It would've said *minus* 6 EXP if the scoring had been still functioning correctly. Since, as Beeant said, the connection between the server and your computer had been lost before you clicked the correct answer, therefore the page didn't know which answer was the correct one and *should* have lost the ability to update your EXP or combo also.
Answer wrong, red colour highlighting, and positive EXP value — this simply seems to be the default thing the page shows when it no longer knows which answer is correct and when it no longer has contact with the website server. ^^
