To talk with interesting Japanese people in Japan and to enrich my trip to Japan. I also like it to read Japanese texts like manga.

It's interesting to see how the language works as it is build up in such a different way than your typical germanic/romanic language.
The culture and media they produce is also quite interesting, and it really helps to to have a grasp on the language with that, since not everything gets subbed/dubbed/translated.
