I think it is because of Sunday night's server problem, but my profile is not showing blue colored squares in the Attendance section since Monday, May 28 Japan Time.

- Yeah, I noticed this too!
Yesterday (29th May, JST) I did somewhere around 70 Practice questions. Afterwards I looked at my Attendance chart. The square for that day was blank and didn't display how many questions I did.
Today I've just done exactly 33 Practice questions (33 EXP). For the Attendance square today (30th May, JST), the square isn't blank, but... ...for some reason it says I've done 77 items... which might very well be the number I did YESTERDAY!
My EXP graph for today (30th May, JST) does show 33 EXP correctly though... Very strange stuff. The attendance chart seems to be lagging 24 hours behind.May 30, 2018 at 6:07am - hmmMay 30, 2018 at 6:19am
- First I would like to apologize for the server down problem.
The server was overloaded and the server provider told me that the hard drive was faulty. Luckily the server was using mirror RAID. Even so I still needed to backup all the data before the hard drive replacement. I also needed to move the database to another server. I am sure that I did this carefully and kept the integrity of the data.
I think I just noticed the problem, the problem is that the new DB server is using UTC timezone. I'm now thinking on how to fix this problem. I have two ways:
1. To reset all the DB to 2 days ago.
2. I need fix each DB entry to JST manually...
Which one do you think is better way to go?May 30, 2018 at 9:48am - 1. seems more plausibleMay 30, 2018 at 1:08pm
- @beeant either way, the issue needs to be fixed. Manually changing each entry seems like more work, so resetting automatically to Monday JST sounds better. Maybe @mog86uk might have a third option, but it is 5:18 am on Wednesday in the UK right now.May 30, 2018 at 1:19pm
- I just looked deeper into the database.
Seems like the timezone of the data entry was correctly inserted in JST. So it seems to be safe. I just need to change the way the codes select the dates in the data entries.
However still I need to check each data tables whether they are stored in the same way in JST or not.May 30, 2018 at 1:47pm - @beeant That is good news. I hope you are able to change how the codes select the dates, and best of luck when checking the data tables too.May 30, 2018 at 1:59pm
- @beeant thanks for your hard work! (۶•̀ᴗ•́)۶May 30, 2018 at 2:24pm
- Thank you for your appreciation @Yoshipon
@mog86uk @kekkou I have set the database back to use JST, although I have not fully checked whether each data entry since the server move was stored in the same way or not with UTC database.
As for @kekkou, the reason for this is that you only answered 17/20 questions on that day... Sorry for the server down :(
As for @mog86uk, I think it's all good for you.May 31, 2018 at 4:02am - @beeant, Great! It's all looks perfectly fine again now. That got sorted out quickly! ^^May 31, 2018 at 4:34am
