It's weird, we both used to manage higher combos than we do these days. I doubt I've reached 900 for a couple of years now.
I guess a big part of the reason is probably that we don't do so many answers per day now. I used to often have days where I'd answer over 1,000 questions. Now I usually stick to more like 20~50 answers, partly to avoid problems with how the encounter formula works now.
Also, I seem to make more mistakes with my typing mod than without it, which is crazy as it should be harder to give one of the three wrong answers as I can't see the multiple choice list. However, for kanji questions which have static four choices, unfortunately some of the wrong multiple choice answers are still deeply burned into my brain. And I'm good at doing typos in exactly the worst moments. XD
Anyway, 900 isn't really a milestone number. You've got to at least carry your combo on until you reach 1,000 now. ^^
@mog86uk I accept your challenge, but I am pretty sure this will end up as an epic fail. lol- I made it to at least 1200 combo then I chose きしゃ instead of きしゅ for 機首. lol

Well, at least you made it past 1,000. I didn't even manage 800... ^^;
I'm now trying to do 100 Practice questions a day (or, if I mess up, however much it takes to get to 100 combo again). Since losing my combo two weeks ago, I've messed up multiple times already. I'm only on 400 at the moment, so it's only been 4 days so far! xD
The good thing about this is that it won't take too many days to hit high combos (so long as I don't mess up) and takes less than ten minutes to answer 100 questions. I guess my target now is to make it to 1,200 combo like you did. I just have to go 12 days without getting an answer wrong... - I got to somewhere around 1,150 combo. Was going well... until just a second ago where I answered the kanji question "経済" wrong...
I was typing fast and accidentally didn't press the い key down fully. Ended up submitting my answer as けざい. I thought I would have got away with it, but ultra unluckily けざい was one of the three listed possible wrong answers! XD
Sigh. Back to 0 again. Going to continue trying to keep up 100 combo per day.
