i'm still new with the japanese grammar but if feels weird that arimasu ポストあります ... aru it means there is for inanimated objects
椅子はある (isu wa aru) there is a chair (arimasu for formal speech)
i think it should be:
これは1st ポストです
です(formal) だ(informal)
