  Oblivion List is used when doing Practice mode. It's an automatic list of Practice questions you haven't answered recently (within the last 30 days, I think?).
  
  These words will automatically come back up in Practice mode, and once you answer them they will be cleared from the list.
  You can also click on the "Oblivion List" button to manually do tests to clear them, but they will come back on their own doing Practice mode so there's no need.
  
  Oblivion List is there to make sure you don't go too long without re-answering old questions, so that your memory does not lose them completely.

  But in practice.settings you can specify the levels. Doesn't it have a purpose anymore since answers from other levels can appear?

  I thought I'd noticed this too.
  
  I'm pretty certain if specify specific levels in settings, you won't be given any NEW words/kanji from other levels...
  However, you do still seem to get given previous words/kanji of other levels from somewhere, even though you've chosen specific levels?
  
  I'm not sure how it's programmed to work, but it would be nice to have more options and stricter control of levels.
