But no, Jap is not my original language and I haven't been learning it prior to this website... I did use some other ressources though for grammar and I learn a lot and practice while watching anime ^^
I'm kinda wondering what you're so impressed about though? Cuz being Rank 1 doesn't mean that I'm a japanese master, I'm just a good player who loves EXP points!! xD
xD, Anime is why i want to learn Japanese, stupid subtitles :P- Haha welcome to the club then... But u won't get rid of the subs so easily :p
I'm currently about 50-60% free of the subs depending on the speech level in every anime. I'd advice u to take some grammar lessons, it will boost ur absorption rate and help u learn more from watching anime.

And jap grammar is really not that tough to go through, especially if u're serious about the learning... It's the easiest grammar I ever come across and Tae Kim's guide sums it up a very intuitive way so u don't get lost in the process...
