I'm glad they use kanji. It would be much harder to read if Japanese was written only in kana, even more so if they still weren't using spaces.
@Seishinsan Keep in mind that Japanese kanji was originally Chinese kanji. Also, imagine if Japanese had to write only hiragana and katakana, no kanji. What is the likelihood that Japanese will understand each other all the time? How about newspapers and online websites? Something to think about..
Also understand that native Japanese have to learn and use kanji too. So it's not just us foreigners. ^^ I mean yeah, Japanese natives are expected to learn and use it, but we as learners are not alone~
