What is a 日本語上級(joukyuu) ？And how do you receive a 日本語上級?

But from what I understand from this, it seems like you were in japan at some point but seven years ago (don't use に there by the way, 七年前 is relative time, not concrete time) you returned to nigeria and you work at the Japanese Embassy. Japanese is important to your job (日本語は大切です not を大切 btw) and so you need us to help you. I think you meant tasukete there so i'm gonna go with that.
Well, assuming I understood you, you posted your question in the very place you can solve it! I'm assuming that 日本語上級 means something like you were good at japanese so you already knew some, so then just do practice and take tests! Especially the tests, since you won't need to practice much. Also readings will help you out a lot since they include a lot more advanced vocabulary in them.

Maybe!- I always thought you were supposed to, but I guess not. The main reason I corrected her though was the extra い that she put there

Coming to your question "how can I receive an Advanced japanese level" , Well I STARTED LEARNING Japanese from beginner level in my first year at University back in Japan. It wasnt really easy for me taking it with my major courses which is international Business Mgt. I took 5 japanese language classes which include: introduction to japanese, japanese 1, japanese II or intermediate, 日本語上級１、日本語上級２and I passed them all to complete my mandatory required 20 credits in Japanese language before my graduation. Anyone with good japanese language ability must understand my writing above with no stress. The japanese themselves speak their broken english with hollible accent, yet we all understand them. I don't know how good your japanese is but when one uses the phrase だんだん、it means he/she is gradually forgetting something just like Kimbo stated. So kimbo really understood my writting up there without stresss . I returned to my country 7years ago and due to the fact there ar few japanese in my country, my speaking ability has gone down. My reading is kul though. I need to improve on my Jap again and i hope am at the right place .
