I don't think 'shintatene' was what was intended, but still I tried to find a possible meaning for it...

'shashintate' = a standing picture frame?

Or this shopping mall in Kanazawa named 'shintate'...

I'm guessing it wasn't either of these though? I found more ideas but I am already starting to feel a bit like シロクマさん from the anime 'Polar Bear Cafe'. :P
