yeah bruh, i've tried at least 15 other sites / learning methods in the last 3 months and this site is by far the most effective / addictive.

i think it's good for beginners. however the number of kanji and vocabulary size mean it probably won't take you to the expert/fluent level, on its own. and of course it doesn't have any info on grammar and the like. and the 'readings' section is unorganized (they don't classify readings according to difficulty, and just have one huge list of random news articles to read). but overall it'd be a good start for learning some basic kanji, kanji compounds, and vocabulary.

basically, if i were teaching students japanese, this would be good for the first and maybe the second year of learning japanese, but after that you'd want to move on to more advanced things (e.g. large anki decks of 20,000+ vocabulary, or lingQ's readings system, or an intermediate japanese textbook).

I mainly just use this site for reviewing basic kanji, but if basic is what you're looking for than yeah it's a good website.
