- Most of the time, 'hajimemashite' is just written in kana: はじめまして.
To write it with kanji, you have 初めまして or the less used 始めまして.
初 means 'beginning; first time' and is found used in various ways for different types of words. Its a useful kanji to learn.
'hajime.ru' is the verb which hajimemashite comes from. Its stem form is 'hajime'. This + 'masu' politeness ending = 'hajimemasu'. This turned into -te form = 'hajimemashite'.August 24, 2014 at 10:18am - arigato (: and wow just seen i spelled it wrongAugust 24, 2014 at 10:34am
