I think its running a crawler in the backend for "Notes" section, which is why it is always updated with the latest news. For the other sections, seems frequent enough.

The blog isn't updated anymore though, sadly. Interesting site history on there though. ^^
It looks like you joined when this new version of the site had almost completed its beta test phase. The beta test ran for about 6 months and a lot of work went into it. Then this new version replaced the old style of the site around March (I think), just after you joined? Since then, things have been kinda quiet.
Beeant is the only person who develops and maintains this site. He often seems busy working to earn a living and to pay for this site to stay up, as the server costs have been pretty high and donation level is pretty low for the amount of time this site has been around. At the moment, either Beeant is very busy and hasn't had time to work on this site, OR he has been doing a lot of work on the site for some big update. I have no idea at all though, but would be very cool if it happens to be the latter of those possibilities. :)
