Story time ya'll.

This one won't be as profane, long, embarrassing, or rude as the last one. Sorry about that btw.
Anyway.

So, I teach an English class for 6歳子供 over in 大分. そごくかわいいですよ。
とにかく ー They're just kids, they've never learned studied english before, so we're just learning super simple basics. Hello. Colors. Body parts (they love Head Shoulders Knees & Toes btw) ect.
So pretty much, they've only learned nouns and an adjective or two so far.
The only question they know to respond to is their name, so today, I wanted to introduce ’How are you?" たんご(単語)
I spent about ten minute (can't do any longer than that or else they get bored) trying a number of things. I mostly used 元気ですか as a basic example, as well as instructing them how to respond to that question (using 'I am good" as an equivalent to いいです・元気です) and a few other things.

So, after all that, I look at my star pupil, and ask
僕:はなえちゃん - how are you? : D
はなえ:あのぉぉぉ。。。 My name is Hanae. :x
僕:.... omg d'awhh <3

They're just kids, this is next unit stuff, we have our unit one test tomorrow, but I just wanted to introduce them. After awhile they sort of got it, but, I still thought it was adorable. Then I moved onto alphabet bingo. Kids fkn love bingo.

Thanks ya'll. Vocab in comments.

    Vocab:
    歳 = さい = how old
    大分 = おおいた = Oita (Both a city and prefecture)
    とにかく = anyway
    たんご = vocabulary/words
    元気 = げんき = Pretty ambiguous. Often translated as 'healthy' but I don't think there is a true accurate English equivalent

    Oh whoops, forgot one. 子供 - こども means kid.

    Wow, the contrast to your other stories... Very cute story though. :)
    Also, kinda surprised they let you teach stuff to 6歳 kids! ... :D

    I try to keep it between urban and normal, for the sake of clarity. Depends on the dialect I feel like using. This wasn't a very 'hood' story, so, I felt like writing in proper prose.
